How do I get a web site?

Second, you will need a Domain Name, for instance, www.insideoutweb.com. After you sign up for a web hosting package, you will be able to check the availability of and purchase your domain name with the web hosting company.

How do I decide on a web design?

The best way to get started on your design is to get an idea of what you like in other websites. Look at sites that are similar to your web model. For instance, if you want to have an e-commerce site, look at other e-commerce sites to see how they handle their business. Then, ask yourself the following questions:

• What do I appreciate about the sites I like?
  Color scheme, animations, buttons, graphics, layouts, etc.
• Do you like the way they handle navigation and links? Dropdowns, graphic buttons, text, etc.
• Do you like the placement of the navigation down the left or across the top? To best decide this it is necessary to get an outline of how you would like your business structured. This also gives a clear idea of how many pages you will require. See the example on the right:

How do I get started on my print project?

Many questions have to be asked when beginning a print project.

• What will it be? Business suite, brochure, mailer, poster, etc.
• What size will it be? Business card, letter head, envelope, large format etc.
• Do I need to include a logo? If yes, Do I have a logo in print ready artwork?
• What print process and colors will be used? 4 color, 2 color, pms, black & white, coated, etc.
• Will I need a full or partial bleed? A bleed is when the design allows the colors to go to the edge of your printed design. This requires extra care and in some cases will increase cost.
• Where would I like to have it printed?
• How many do I need?

How do I choose a printer?

There are many printing companies out there that offer a variety of services. We will help you decide what type of printer to look for and communicate with the printer you choose to make sure that they get all the files and artwork they require. If you decide you would just like to let us handle it, you can rest assured that we will find a printer who is professional and reasonably priced.

What if I want my projects artwork?

Inside Out retains all the copyrights on our graphic work. What you pay for is our labor, expertise, consulting and output. If you require a copy of your files for a print project, we will send our files directly to your printer. If you would like to purchase the rights to the artwork then arrangements can be made. Inside Out takes great pride in our creative and graphic works. It is highly recommended that all modifications, recreations, or changes go through the originating artists in order to preserve quality.
